Reconciliation (Confession)

Reconciliation (Confession)

The Sacrament of Reconciliation (also known as Penance or Confession).  The Church believes that the Sacrament of Reconciliation is a “whole consisting in three actions of the penitent and the priest's absolution. The penitent's acts are repentance, confession or disclosure of sins to the priest, and the intention to make reparation and do works of reparation” (CCC# 1491).

For Catholics, the bishops and priests, by virtue of the Sacrament of Holy Orders, have the power to forgive all sins by saying the Trinitarian formula, “I absolve you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

The Sacrament of Confession is available Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday @ 8:30am or anytime by appointment.
