MARRIAGE

The Sacrament of Matrimony (also known as the Sacrament of Holy Marriage) allows a man and a woman publicly to express their consent and to join together in a life-long covenant of self-giving love.  The Church teaches that in this covenant and love, the couples live out the essences of “unity, indissolubility, and openness to fertility” which are essential to marriage and constitute that they are “no longer two, but one flesh” (cf. CCC# 1644).

If you are interested in getting married at Our Lady of the Angels, please contact the parish office by emailing frontoffice@olangelscc.org or by phone at (941) 752-6770 at least six months in advance to schedule your wedding. We recommend that you not schedule your reception venue until you have secured a date and time for the wedding ceremony.

All couples are required to complete the marriage prep program Witness to Love.  Witness to Love (WTL) is a virtues-based model of marriage renewal and preparation that integrates modern principles of psychology and the virtues to help couples facilitate and talk about their relationship. All built on the rock of True Love, “God”. Please click on the following link to see more information about the program Witness to Love.
