DIOCESE OF VENICE IN FLORIDA 

APPLICATION/SCREENING PROCESS 

FOR YOUTH UNDER AGE 18 VOLUNTEER CANDIDATES

All youth under age 18 serving as a volunteer should complete steps 1-5; those aged 14-17 should also complete steps 4 & 5.

STEP 1: Complete the Youth (Under 18) Volunteer Application  on pp. 3-4 (pp. 5-6 en espanol) of the Diocese of Venice Youth Volunteer Application . IMPORTANT: The application must be completed in full, including the entire ‘References’ section and the parental/guardian permission form.

STEP 2: Read and sign the Youth Volunteer Code of Conduct on p. 7 (p. 8 en espanol) of the Diocese of Venice Youth Volunteer Application . IMPORTANT: The code of conduct must include the signatures of both the youth and his/her parent.

STEP 3: Complete the Volunteer Application online at volgistics.com . N.B. It is not necessary to complete the Availability section but you may do so if you wish.

STEP 4 (if ages 14-17 only): Create an account for Safe Environment training at virtusonline.org . Select "Begin the registration process" and search for "Venice (Diocese)" as your organization. Follow the steps to create your account.

STEP 5 (if ages 14-17 only): Complete the online Safe Environment training assigned to you via email by Virtus Online.
