YOUTH FAITH FORMATION

Grades K-8

Our first session is on Tuesday/Wednesday, September 8th & 9th, 2026

ELEMENTARY FAITH FORMATION (Grades K-5)

Kindergarten - children must be 5 years of age. It is designed to lay a foundation of prayer and introduction to

Jesus preparing them for the first year of Sacramental Prep.

First Holy Communion/First Reconciliation - The sacrament of First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation are generally

received in second grade. The Diocese of Venice requires that all children complete two consecutive years of Faith Formation.

Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30pm                Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30pm

MIDDLE SCHOOL FAITH FORMATION (Grades 6-8)

Our Lady of the Angels Middle School Youth ministry is Catholic faith based with a focus on spiritual growth, service to our community,  and strengthening their relationship with Christ in a safe and positive environment. Fun activities and field trips are planned through the year.  The youth are encouraged to actively participate in our parish community in the  choir, music, lectors and volunteers.

Middle School starts September 30th 

Wednesdays, 5:45-6:45PM

OCIC - Order of Christian Initiation of Children

OCIC is designed to welcome older children into the Church who have not been baptized, received the Eucharist, or Confirmed and to lead them to a deeper belief and renewal of his or her Catholic faith. The Diocese of Venice requires that all children complete two years of Faith Formation before receiving a sacrament. This program is designed for children in 4th grade and above.
