There are many ways to prepare for the celebration of Christ's birth, but here are a few ways to celebrate the Advent season.
Special Feast Days & Liturgies
December 6: The Feast of St. Nicholas
Tradition: Set out your shoes the night before and St. Nicholas will fill them with coins, candies, fruit, or other special treats and prizes (chocolate coins work great!).
December 8: The Feast of the Immaculate Conception
Falls on Sunday this year (Normal Sunday Mass times): Vigil Mass on December 7 @ 4:00pm, Sunday Mass on December 8 @ 7:30am, 9:00 am, 11:00 am, & 5:00 pm (Main Church)
December 12: The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
Rejoice at the first major apparition of our Blessed Mother, who appeared here in the Americas to help convert millions to Christ her son just years after the tragedy of the European revolts and schisms of the Reformation by attending services at surrounding parishes. Typically, St. Michael's in Wauchula, Sacred Heart in Bradenton, and Holy Cross in Palmetto observe this special day.
