The Church believes and teaches that Baptism makes us members of the Body of Christ, and we are members one of another. The Sacrament of Baptism “incorporates us into the Church. From the baptismal fonts is born the one People of God of the New Covenant, which transcends all the natural or human limits of nations, cultures, races, and sexes: For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body" (CCC# 1267).
For Catholics, Baptism is the beginning of new life into Christ, and it is the sacrament of salvation and the door to all other sacraments. Parents must attend one mandatory Baptism preparation class. Classes will be on the 1st Monday of the month at 7PM in Sacred Heart Hall unless that day falls on a holiday. Current scheduled classes are: January 4th, February 1st, March 1st and April 12th. Godparents must be registered and active members of a parish. Baptisms will be held on Saturdays at 3PM and Sundays at 1PM.
