To our parishioners at Our Lady of the Angels,
This has been an eventful and worrying week for our country and community. Amidst it all, let's continue to come together as a faith community to pray, console and encourage. Here is what is happening at OLA:
PALM SUNDAY
In keeping with the Bishop's and civil authorities' directives, we will not distribute Palms on Sunday. The palms will be blessed at our live-streamed Mass on Sunday morning at 10 am. They will be dried and distributed after we are able to return to church.
HOLY WEEK
The Young Adults group will lead a Rosary each morning at 8:00 am during Holy Week. Please join us via Zoom Monday-Friday by clicking the following link just before 8:00 am each day: zoom.us/j/972442491...
Triduum services will be live-streamed on Facebook and shared afterward on our website and YouTube channel. Here is the schedule:
- Mass of the Lord's Supper - Thursday, 4/9, at 7:00 pm
- Stations of the Cross - Friday, 4/10, at noon
- Good Friday of the Lord's Passion - Friday, 4/10, at 3:00 pm
- Easter Vigil - Saturday, 4/11, at 8:30 pm
- Easter Mass - Sunday, 4/12, at 10:00 am
We have posted a resource for use at home while you watch the live-stream: olangelscc.org/home-ho...
Daily Mass will also be live-streamed Monday-Wednesday at 9 am.

OUTREACH
Donations for the Charity of the Month, the food pantries at Stillpoint House of Prayer and Bethesda House, as well as for St. Joseph Food Pantry are greatly needed. Donations may be brought to church and left in the bins that have been relocated outside the front church entrance.
Please continue to contribute to your Rice Bowls. Information on returning those will be shared in a future message.
CATHOLIC BOOKS
TAN Books, a Catholic publisher we have done business with in the past, is offering a host of books covering various spiritual topics - perfect to keep your faith strong and engaged during this difficult time. They are offered at a discounted rate of 30% off. Additionally, 30% of all sales from our parish will be sent back to us as a donation.
To purchase, go to their website, www.tanbooks.com, and use the code Angels34202 at checkout to receive the discount.
SCAMS
Phishing is on the rise during this very sensitive time. Please do not login to strange links or buy gift cards to send via email or text. We will not solicit donations via those methods.
ONLINE GIVING
If your circumstances allow continued giving, you may transition to online giving using this link: olangelscc.weshareonline.org. You may also mail your weekly offertory donations to the Parish: 12905 SR 70 E, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202 or place them in the drop box outside the front door of the parish offices.
Join us in prayer for the repose of those who have died, for the recovery of those who are sick, for the strength of healthcare workers and caregivers, and for an end to this health crisis. Please be assured of our prayers for all of you, and know that our parish community is here for you.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
The Clergy and Staff at Our Lady of the Angels
